Pass Plus

passsplus
Pass Plus is a course that you can take once you have passed your driving test. It consists of at least 6 hours of practical training which
cover some areas of driving that your driving lessons could not. As an added inducement, Pass Plus can in some cases substantially reduce your insurance premiums.

I offer the Pass plus course for an all in price of £180.

The Pass Plus course covers:

  • Town driving
  • Rural Roads
  • All weather driving
  • Night driving
  • Dual carriageways
  • Motorways

These are all covered in practice wherever possible and by theory if a practical session is not possible.

There is no exam at the end of this course, instead you will be assessed by your Instructor as the course progresses. Once you complete your Pass Plus course your Instructor will complete an assessment form and post this to the DSA. You will receive back a certificate of completion.

Why should you do it?

Did you know? Statistically:

  • Young motorists twice as likely than average to have a crash,
  • Average cost of an accident involving a young motorist twice as high as for other motorists,
  • Accident involving a young driver five times as likely to involve an injury,
  • Young motorists four times as likely to have a conviction for careless driving than the average motorist*,

Research shows 17 and 18 year old motorists are twice as likely to have a road accident as someone in their 30s, three times as likely as someone in their 40s and six times as likely as someone aged over 50. The monetary value of the crashes is also substantially higher for younger drivers and the risk of more serious injury is increased.

By improving your driving skills and hazard awareness, you can reduce the risk of being involved in a serious crash. Many insurance companies offer a discount for young drivers who have completed a Pass Plus course within 12 months of passing their test. Visit the Passplus website for further details.
